the line for art, the freedom to allow your perspective to feel, is drawn at consumerism. the notion of adding a capped value to a gift allows for the ideas of greed and purchase to swell, flooding the markets and watering down the initial intent. applying a solution to an idea manifests into a sort of progress, but it also takes away the freedom for the idea to just be. there can be milestones and markers, but once a transaction has been made, the value ends there.
